Hathern is a large village and civil parish in the Charnwood district of Leicestershire, England. The village itself is located in the north of the district, and is just north of Loughborough, accessed via the A6. There are great close links to Leicester, Nottingham and Derby either by 24 hour bus service or by easy access to the M1 and rail services. East Midlands Airport is also only a 15 minute drive away.
Although the village has little in the way of retail shopping, many businesses continue to thrive here and through the years Hathern has retained a vibrant community, with a volunteer group - Hathern Village Association - specifically set up to plan and develop community events as well as new initiative Hathern Together who keep all groups, clubs and organisations in touch with one another and publish 'The Guide' and runs the informative website www.hathernonline.co.uk
