Description

Home to various wildlife and offering views of the Great Central Railway trainline, Charnwood Water is the perfect place to walk, run or to simply enjoy being amongst local nature.

It was created on the site of a former clay pit used by local firm Tuckers Brickworks which supplied bricks for St. Pancras Station in London.

Charnwood Water is a lake surrounded by trees and a circular footpath just short of one mile. It is around 27 acres and used mainly for leisure purposes. It also offers visitors several places to sit and take in the beautiful surroundings. Plenty of water birds can also be seen here.
